New 912 iS / 915 iS Alert Service Bulletin:

Inspection and/or replacement of fuel pump assy. for ROTAX® Engine Type 912 i and 915 i A (Series)

Internal quality checks have shown that in isolated cases, there may be fuel leakage in the front end area of the power connector side. This may lead to a hazardous condition.

What's this about?

It has been determined during internal quality checks that a limited range of electric fuel pumps could potentially leak fuel. This may lead to a hazardous condition.

How does this affect me?

If your aircraft is not equipped with a 912 i (Fuel Injected Series) or 915 i (Fuel Injected Series) engine, this ASB does not affect you!

If your aircraft is equipped with a 912 i (Fuel Injected Series) or 915 i (Fuel Injected Series) engine and its serial number and/or the fuel pump assembly serial number is within the scope specified in this document, then the fuel pumps must be inspected (and potentially replaced). NOTE: It is important to check both the engine S/N and the fuel pump assembly S/N against this ASB.

What do I do about it?

If your aircraft is equipped with a 912 i (Fuel Injected Series) or 915 i (Fuel Injected Series) engine, you should immediately review this ASB to determine whether or not your engine serial number and/or fuel pumps assembly serial numbers are within the scope of the serial number ranges specified in this document. If your engine serial number and/or fuel pump assembly serial number falls within the specified ranges, then the procedures outlined within the Certifed ASB must be followed. (The actual inspection procedure is detailed in Section 3.1 of the Certified ASB)

If there is NO indication of any fuel leakage on the affected electric fuel pumps then no further action is required for this fuel pumps assembly (Non repetive inspection).

Note: The Certified document can identified by the title,
